Scottish 3-star chef Tristin Farmer has always had a passion for fine dining. After finishing his schooling and working at the Peat Inn for 4 years, Farmer had the opportunity to work for Andrew Fairlie at the two Michelin star restaurant in Gleneagles Hotel. In 2007, his passion for fine food took him to London where he worked for Gordon Ramsay at Claridges, starting as Chef De Partie. His talent, creativity and hard work were soon noticed and he was promoted to Sous Chef and Senior Sous Chef at Petrus only three years later. Farmer was part of the re-lunch, helping them to win a Michelin star within a year. Later that year he joined the team of the prestigious three-Michelin star Restaurant Gordon Ramsay on Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea, as Senior Sous Chef. In 2011Farmer became the Head Chef at Maze by Gordon Ramsay. In 2014, Tristin Farmer moved on to cook at the Jason Atherton restaurants "The Social Company", "Pollen Street Social" and "City Social" in London and accompanied the pre-opening of "Aberdeen Street Social" in Hong Kong. As head chef of "Marina Social" in Dubai, he won several awards - among others, he was "Middle East Chef of the Year" in 2016 and 2017. From 2018 to January 2024, Farmer was part of the Frantzén Group and opened "Zén" in Singapore as Executive Chef, where he served his guests a creative fusion of Nordic and Japanese cuisine. In his first year, he received two stars from the Michelin Guide, followed by a third in 2021. This makes Farmer only the second chef from Scotland to win three Michelin stars, after Gordon Ramsay.
