Executive chef Gero Porstein
In summer 2018, Gero Porstein took on the lead of the Waldhaus kitchen brigade. The native German looks back on a cooking career spanning no fewer than seventeen-years in Switzerland. With his experience and innovative ideas, Gero Porstein puts his own very personal signature under Waldhaus cuisine. What he lovingly arranges on the plates together with his team of 22 chefs, is nothing less than the taste of the Waldhaus itself: the forest and the garden, Val Fex and Val Bregaglia, Alp Prasüra and the mountains. To create the fascinating and varied culinary menus, the passionate Executive Chef always favours high quality, seasonal produce from the local area.
