As an Alpine hideaway, the Giardino Mountain completes the establishments of the Giardino Group in a captivating combination of original Engadine architecture and modern lifestyle. The group’s most important values – harmony, open-mindedness and a positive attitude towards life – correspond to the cosy regional ‘at home feeling’. High quality regional building techniques and exclusively designed furniture were employed to equip and decorate the 78 luxurious, comfortable rooms and suites. Daniela Frutiger was responsible for the development and the concept of the vast spa area and the fitness centre with its numerous treatment rooms, saunas and different swimming pools. In the Giardino Mountain restaurants even the most demanding palates will be highly satisfied. The gastronomic management is the responsibility of master chef Markus Rose. Furthermore, during the winter months at the restaurant ‘Ecco on Snow’ of the hotel ‘Giardino Mountain’, Rolf Fliegauf , who has already been awarded 2 Michelin stars, and his team from the the Giardino Hotel in Ascona offer a first-rate culinary performance.
Master chef Markus Rose
At the Giardino Mountain’s main restaurant ‘Guardalej’, master chef Markus Rose spoils his guests with ingenious, newly interpreted creations from modern Mediterranean cuisine. Furthermore, at lunchtime and in the evening, his typical and substantial Grison specialities are on the menu at the traditional Engadine restaurant ‘Stüva’. His characteristic signature and the commitment to uncompromising quality have already led to Markus Rose being awarded 14 GaultMillau points during his career in different renowned establishments. At the Festival, Markus Rose welcomes guest chef Klaus Erfort.
