‘Contemporary Alpine cuisine’ – that’s Mathis Food Affairs. As a protagonist of the Engadine and an internationally renowned master chef, Reto Mathis has run six different gastronomic establishments on Corviglia at an altitude of 2,486 m., for 18 years together with wife Barbara. Each of the restaurants is a true highlight, especially 'La Marmite’, the highest located gourmet restaurant in Europe and – new from this winter season – the lounge restaurant ‘De Fät Moonk’. At Mathis Food Affairs, skiers, hikers and epicures get together to savour the well-known classics and new interpretations of Engadine specialities created by master chef Reto, as well as his legendary hospitality.
