Recently renovated, the Carlton Hotel offers its guests exquisite, individual service in a private environment. The junior and main suites, exclusively decorated by star designer Carlo Rampazzi, offer supreme comfort and beautifully light rooms. All 60 suites impress with their breathtaking view of the St. Moritz lake and the alpine panorama in the background. Gastronomically speaking, the restaurant Romanoff with its ideal atmosphere invites diners to savour a delicately interpreted gourmet cuisine, while the restaurant Tschinè cultivates casual dining with authentic Mediterranean and Swiss meals – delicious and without extravagance.

Master chef  Salvatore Frequente
Salvatore Frequente, 37, focuses his cuisine on the four elements of the earth: his grill specialities are fiery, the finest fish and seafood represent the water, the soil delivers high-quality vegetables and garnishing and, with a wink, the air is the origin of his poultry delicacies. After holding different positions in establishments of the Tschuggen Hotel Group, he now has a captivating double role, allowing him twice a year to change from an altitude of 200 to 1,800 metres. During the summer months he is the chef at the new lifestyle restaurant Marina of the sister establishment Eden Roc on the shores of Lake Maggiore, and from December to April, he is behind the stoves of the Calton Hotel where he is responsible for the culinary delicacies of this modern grand hotel. At the 2011 St. Moritz Gourmet Festival Salvatore Frequente receives guest chef Edgard Bovier.
